Civil Engineer AUTH, MSc Earthquake Engineering Design

Christina Mykoniou is a Research and Development Project Management Associate of IsZEB and a Project Management Associate of the EU-funded research projects.  She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Master’s degree in Earthquake Engineering Design.

She is an Energy Performance Certificate Assessor, holds an individual study degree from the competent Ministry of Infrastructure and has more than 10 years of working experience. She has dealt with preparing (architectural, static, electromechanical) studies for public and private projects, as well as with coordinating tasks regarding the onsite operations. She has participated in several studies of energy upgrades of public building blocks and specializes in project management, consulting, development of computational tools and writing technical instructions in the field of Smart and Energy Efficient Buildings.

Her key activities focus on the building sector, mainly on energy auditing in buildings, implementation of building regulations according to Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, EPC assessments, energy efficiency and energy management consulting in public and private sector. Her on-going activities include research projects that involve Zero Energy Buildings, Smart Readiness Indicator and Energy Performance Certificates.
