Stavros Moiragias is holding a degree in Civil Engineering (Patras University) and an MSc in
Architectural Engineering (Technical University of Denmark). During his education he got introduced
in BIM Tools and Workflows of a building project. During his studies, he participated in a Global
Teamwork Project, hold by Stanford University, while his master thesis was focused on automated
rule-based checking of LOD of BIM models.
Since then, for the last 7 years, he has hold various BIM positions in hyper scale (data centres)
construction projects throughout EU Countries (Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, UK), starting from
BIM modelling and BIM Coordination roles to the overall BIM Management of construction projects.
With the current role of BIM Manager, he is responsible to set up the BIM workflows and
deliverables from the early stage of the project, ensure the BIM requirements are maintained, the
deliverables are achieved within the construction schedule, and handover successfully the
deliverables to the client.
Currently, Stavros Is based in Athens, has created his own BIM team supporting projects for BIM
tasks (modelling, coordination, management) in projects in Greece and abroad. Moreover, the team
is undertaking 3D Laser scanning tasks; on-site laser scanning, as built models, scan against model
comparison and construction progress tracking.
